Press & data inquiries
We're happy to talk to journalists, researchers, and analysts. Reach us through the feedback form with “press” in the subject and we'll respond within a few business days.
Boilerplate
What the platform is, and what it isn't
What it is: a structured accountability layer for program-level decisions: communication, expectations, and experience. Programs get scored on the systems they run; the data is there so families investing time and money in hockey can make better decisions about where to spend.
What it isn't: a vehicle for calling out specific coaches, board members, or other individuals. Reviews that read as personal attacks are moderated out. The mirror image is equally on-purpose. We want to surface and recognise the contributors who make local hockey work, not just the programs that need to do better.
Quick facts
- Operator: Train 2.0 Hockey Coaching Inc.
- Founded: 2026
- Headquarters: 55 East 5th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada
- Coverage: Canada, USA, and select European programs
- Listings: 690+ tournaments, leagues, and clubs and growing
- Sanctioning model: Sanctioned (under National Governing Bodies) and rogue (independent), both surfaced; rogue is a status, not a quality judgment
- Suppression threshold: 5 verified reviews before any aggregate is shown
- Funding: Self-funded by Train 2.0; no investor pressure to ramp ad load or paid placement
What we'll talk about
- Methodology and design choices (we have opinions)
- Roll-up trends in regions / sanctioning bodies / age groups when sample sizes are adequate
- Specific incident reports, only with appropriate care for minors and only at our discretion
- Why the BCHL is “rogue” (it broke from Hockey Canada in 2023)
- Why we suppress scores below 5 reviews
What we won't do
- Share individual reviewer identities or contact info
- Comment on litigation involving any listed program
- Endorse specific programs, advisors, scouts, or tournaments
Data access
We don't have a public API yet. Aggregated, de-identified data is available on request for academic, journalism, or non-commercial research use. Contact us with a brief description of the project.
